How long have you been an artist?
I decided to become an artist in 8th grade.
How did you decide to become an artist?
I realized that I enjoyed art class and everyone else complained about it.
What training do you have as an artist?
I went to Maine College of Art and received a Bachelor's Degree in Printmaking. Within Printmaking, I focused on Silkscreen.
Do you enjoy being a self-representing artist?
Very much!
How long have you been selling your work online?
1 1/2 years, I think.
How did you come up with your business name, OneKeeneKat?
Someone on MySpace, in a bulletin, suggested it for me in jest, but I loved it!
What is your favorite medium and why?
Hard to say, but I love colored pencils, because I like the control I can have with them. I am also fascinated with printing presses.
Do you have a favorite brand you’d like to share with us?
Prismacolor pencils
What has been your best moment as an artist?
One of my best moments was listing my very first ACEO on eBay and I had a bid within 15 minutes!! Yay, eBay!!
What’s the nicest thing anyone has said about your work?
Wow, awesome!
